Introduction
Easily view the results and statistics of your newsletters and email automations to get a clear understanding of the success of your email marketing strategy. These results and statistics are crucial for successful campaigns.
What is email reporting?
Email reporting is the process of collecting and analyzing data from your newsletters and email automations to measure their effectiveness. These insights help you understand what works, what doesn’t, and how to improve your emails for your contacts.
Xendy provides email statistics on four levels:
- Account-wide statistics: statistics for all emails sent from your Xendy account. This includes both newsletters and email automations.
- Newsletter-specific statistics: statistics for all sent newsletters, broken down per newsletter.
- Email automation-specific statistics: statistics per email automation, combining the results of all automation steps.
- Statistics per email automation step: detailed statistics for each individual step within an email automation.
Account-wide statistics
The ‘Dashboard’ you see immediately after logging in provides statistics for your entire Xendy account. These are the combined results of all newsletters and email automations. You will see the following statistics:
- Sent: total number of delivered emails.
- Opened: number of unique recipients who opened your emails.
- Clicks: number of clicks on links within the emails.
- Revenue: total generated revenue (available for webshops with an active integration).
Newsletter-specific statistics
In the left menu, choose ‘Sent’. A newsletter moves from ‘Scheduled’ to ‘Sent’ as soon as it has been delivered. You will see the following statistics per newsletter:
- Sent: total number of delivered emails.
- Opened: number of unique recipients who opened your email.
- Clicks: number of clicks on a link within the email.
- Unsubscribed: number of contacts who unsubscribed via the unsubscribe link in the email.
- Bounces: number of emails that bounced and were therefore not delivered.
- Complaints: number of contacts who marked the email as spam, for example in Outlook or Gmail.
- Revenue: total generated revenue (available for webshops with an active integration).
- Send time: exact time the email was sent.
These statistics are updated in real-time, so you can view and analyze performance immediately after sending.
Email automation-specific statistics
In the left menu, choose ‘Email automations’ to open the overview of all email automations. You will then see key statistics per automation to start your reporting with:
- Last executed: the last time Xendy checked which contacts should receive emails from your automation. This is also when the queue was populated for future sends.
- Next execution: the next scheduled time for this calculation. This can be set under ‘Settings’ next to the ‘Start’ and ‘Stop’ buttons.
- Sent: total number of delivered emails.
- Queue: the number of emails scheduled to be sent in the future, for example due to a configured delay (send in 3 days).
- Revenue: total generated revenue (available for webshops with an active integration).
