A one-time investment for a fully automated workflow afterward. With email automations, you automatically send confirmations for sign-ups, a first purchase, or reactivate inactive customers who, for example, have not placed an order for a year.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"what-are-email-automations\">What are email automations?<\/h2>\n<p>Email automations are pre-configured workflows that send targeted emails based on specific triggers, such as someone signing up for the newsletter, making a purchase, or abandoning their shopping cart. Email automations have several important advantages over regular newsletters:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Efficiency:<\/b> automate emails you would normally send manually.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Personalization:<\/b> you send the email at the moment it is most relevant for your recipient.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Scalability: <\/b>Xendy keeps track of who needs to be emailed, every day, without manual actions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"view-and-manage-all-email-automations\">View and manage all email automations<\/h2>\n<p>Managing your email automations starts in the left menu under \u2018Email automations\u2019. This central place contains all email automations of your organization in Xendy. Here you can view, edit, and delete them.<\/p>\n<h3>List of all automations<\/h3>\n<p>Under \u2018Email automations\u2019 you\u2019ll find all your email automations in Xendy with the following data in the columns for each automation:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Status indicator:<\/b> a green dot shows that the email automation is active, a grey dot shows that it is currently inactive.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Name: <\/b>the name of the email automation.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Last executed: <\/b>the moment Xendy last checked which contacts fall into the segment and therefore should receive emails.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Next execution: <\/b>the next moment Xendy will check which contacts fall into the segment and therefore should receive emails.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Sent: <\/b>the number of emails that have been sent from this email automation.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Revenue:<\/b> the revenue generated by the email automation for your webshop.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Queue: <\/b>the number of emails scheduled for sending in the coming days, for example because a step must be sent a number of days later.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Delete email automation<\/h3>\n<p>Go to \u2018<strong>Email automations<\/strong>\u2019 in the left menu and select the email automation you want to delete from the list. Once you have found it, click the \u2018<b>3 dots<\/b>\u2019 on the right of the automation. Choose <b>\u2018Delete\u2019<\/b>. Confirm this action, and your email automation will be removed from your Xendy account.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"create-email-automation-from-new-segment\">Create email automation from new segment<\/h2>\n<p>Go to \u2018Email automations\u2019 in the left menu and then click \u2018<b>New automation<\/b>\u2019 in the top right. Choose \u2018<b>From a new segment<\/b>\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Now select <b>\u2018Static\u2019<\/b> or <b>\u2018Dynamic\u2019<\/b>, depending on your needs, and click \u2018Next\u2019. Note: deleting the email automation also deletes the emails within the automation.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Settings:<\/b> here you will find the technical settings of your email automation.\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"2\"><b>Check time:<\/b> the time at which Xendy should check which contacts fall within the segment and should receive emails from this email automation.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"2\"><b>Revenue attribution: <\/b>the percentage of revenue generated by customers that should be attributed to the email automation.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"2\"><b>Revenue calculation period:<\/b> the number of days within which revenue generated by recipients of an email is attributed to the email automation.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"2\"><b>Include revenue only if: <\/b>choose whether you want customer revenue to be counted only if they clicked in the email.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"2\"><b>Product restriction:<\/b> choose whether you want only revenue from products that were shown in the email to be included or from all purchased products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Start \/ pause: <\/b>activates the automation, allowing it to send emails to the selected segment. After activation, click \u2018Stop\u2019 to temporarily stop an active email automation. This is useful for adjustments or testing.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Per step:<\/b> click the downward arrow on a step within the email automation and then choose \u2018<b>Edit<\/b>\u2019. Here you can adjust the time at which this step should be sent.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Between steps:<\/b> use the plus (+) and minus (-) icons to determine the number of days between two steps.
